OVERVIEW
The Bridgestone Turanza EL450 RFT (AR) is a touring, all season tire manufactured for passenger vehicles. This model has some high performance sizes as well. It is the original equipment tire of Alfa Romeo vehicles.
This model offers excellent all weather traction. It features an all-season tread design with deep circumferential tread grooves that channel water away for enhanced hydroplaning resistance and outstanding wet-road grip. Its sipes and the silica-infused tire compound provide the added traction needed to keep control in wintry conditions. So the tread pattern grips the road well in dry, wet and even light winter conditions.
The tire is a run flat model. It is able to be driven on for 50 miles and up to 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. After a puncture or other damage causes air pressure to leave the tire, it still offers a limited temporary performance thanks to the reinforced internal structure. This enables the vehicle to safely arrive at a nearby location, where the damaged tire can be fixed or replaced. Run flat tires cannot be mixed with regular tires on the same vehicle.
The Turanza EL450 RFT (AR) promotes a quiet and comfortable driving experience. The computer optimized tread design increases the driving comfort by lowering the road noise heard in the vehicles cabin. It generates noise-cancelling sound waves that negate the road and tread pattern noise created while the tires are in motion. The tire compound and the optimal tire shape, on the other hand, reduce the vibrations felt by the passengers by ensuring that the tire closely follows the road surface.
