The GT Radial Champiro HPY is a high performance summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles.
The tire promotes excellent summer weather traction. The silica-based tire compound and the asymmetric dual tread design increase the dry and wet weather road gripping ability. They firmly grip the road surface in these conditions, but the tire will not perform well in colder temperatures. The asymmetric tread??s inner area and the four wide circumferential grooves actively resist hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the tire??s footprint. The increased road gripping ability and hydroplaning prevention ensure a safer summer weather performance.
The tread design??s constant road contact boosts the model??s controllability. The wide solid center rib keeps the tire close to the road surface at all times, which improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability greatly.
